  • Male amateur golfer
  • Must be a member of an RDGA club.
  • Aged 25 & older

Event Format

  • Competition will be 36 holes of stroke play (Two 18-hole rounds).  The contestant with the lowest gross score for 36 holes will be the RDGA Mid-Amateur Champion. (The top 3 finishers plus ties will receive an Exemption into the 2019 RDGA District Championship.)
  • Tee times begin at 8:00AM Friday (Day 1) and 12:00PM Saturday (Day 2).  In the event of a tie for the championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will be held immediately upon completion of the final round.
  • Play will be from the RDGA BLACK tees which will be approximately 6,500 yards.

Friday, August 17th - (Round 1)

  • 8:00am Start Time Off Hole #1
  • Lunch available at the turn or after the completion of the round

 

Saturday, August 18th - (Round 2)

  • 12:00pm Start Time Off Hole #1
  • Lunch available at the turn or after the completion of the round
  • Awards Ceremony following play (Light hors d'oeuvres will be served and are included)

 

Cart Policy

Carts are encouraged but not mandatory. Player's Cart Fee is included in entry fee.

 

Caddies

Caddies are allowed.
NOTE: Caddies are allowed to ride/drive in the Cart during the Tournament, but will be required to pay the cart fee.

 

Pairings

  • Pairings for Round 1 will be provided approximately one week before the event (Starting off Hole #1 at 8:00am)
  • Pairings for Round 2 will be based on results from Round 1. (Starting off Hole #1 at 12:00pm, leaders will tee off last)
  • *If you have any conflictions and need to request a time for Round 1, please contact the RDGA office at least one week in advance*

 

Range

  • Round 1 - The practice range will be open to all players beginning approximately at 7:00am 
  • Round 2 - The practice range will be open to all players beginning approximately at 11:00am
  • The practice range is included in the players entry fee for both days

 

Food Services

  • Lunch is included in the entry fee for all players each day.  Please only one lunch per player per day. 
  • *Caddies lunches are NOT included in entry fee and must be paid for separately.*
  • There will be hors d'ouevres served following the play of Round 2, which are included in the entry fee.

 

Practice Round

There is no formal practice round for this event, those wishing to schedule one may contact the pro shop.

 

Score Posting

Competitor is responsible to post score.  Score Type: Tournament.

Refund Policy

Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules:

  1. If the player withdraws BEFORE the registration deadline, he/she will be granted a refund of the full entry, minus the $10.00 credit card processing fee. (The refund will be credited back to the players card).

 

  1. If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the registration closes, no refund will be granted.

 

RDGA Code of Conduct

The RDGA and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that includes responsibilities.

 

Contestants must be amateurs and members in good standing at an RDGA club. They must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements including Handicap Index, age, gender (for selected events), appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and local host club rules that apply to players during a competition.

 

 USGA Rules will govern all play in RDGA events including Local Rules noted on the Notice to Players at each competition. All players should familiarize themselves with Section I.  Etiquette: Behavior on the Course in the current Rules of Golf book.
