Welcome to the 2021 GVR Match Play Portal

 

 

  • This year's Match Play event is a season long event with a Championship, Consolation, & Par 3 Bracket for consistent action through throughout the 2021 Golf Season

 

  • Open to the first 32 players and all players guaranteed at least 3 matches

 

  • Once you are registered, remember to take care of the $50 entry fee with the GVR Golf Shop as soon as possible. Call 303-371-3131 to pay your entry fee over the phone

  • EVENT FORMAT- SINGLE ELIMINATION MATCH PLAY (with Consolation & Par 3 Brackets)

    1) All Players must have an established GHIN Handicap. Current USGA/World Rules of Golf will govern all matches.

    2) All matches will consist of 18 holes. Men will play from the Blue tees. Women will play from the Green tees. Players requesting Gold &/or White tees must be approved by the Head Professional before your match. Tee specific course handicaps will be calculated for each match.

    3) All players shall use 100% of their current Course Handicap. Handicapping will be derived off the lower handicap of the two players. (Example: Player ‘A’ has a Course Handicap of 5 and is playing player ‘B’ with a handicap of 9. Player ‘A’ will play to  scratch and player ‘B’ will receive strokes on Handicap Holes 1 thru 4.

    4) There will be no extensions for matches. Each match is assigned a deadline (above) by which the match must be completed.

    5) Players will be responsible for setting up matches and informing the Head Professional of all scheduled tee times & tees beforehand. Scorecards will be available in the Golf Shop and all matches are to be signed, dated & turned into the Golf Shop at the conclusion of each match. We will not post scores for GHIN purposes. That is up to each individual.

    6) If a match is tied after 18 holes, please see the Golf Shop staff in order to continue your match in a sudden death format.

    7) All players guaranteed at least three rounds. After Round 1 is complete all first round losers will automatically be entered into the Consolation Bracket. After Round 2 of the Championship and Round 1 of the Consolation brackets are complete, all losers will head into the Par 3 Match Play Bracket.
