THE TAR HEEL WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION

 

There are 14 member clubs from Raleigh to Wilmington, NC, that host one-day tournaments, April through October each year. The member clubs are as follows:

 

Brier Creek CC/Raleigh, NC                                      Pinehurst Signature (#7 & #9)/ Pinehurst, NC

Highland CC/Fayetteville, NC                                   Prestonwood CC, Cary, NC

Mid South Club/Talamore, Southern Pines, NC        Wilson CC/Wilson, NC

 

• Clubs rotate hosting tournaments every two years.
• All PWGA members may participate and will play to a Maximum USGA Index of 32.9.
• The invitation for the current event will be placed on the Golf Genius portal.  Notice will be given when the portal will open to sign up for the event.
• Each Club can send up to 7 players.  The first 7 players to sign up will be accepted.  If we are able to send more than 7 players, the Host Club will notify Pinewild. Additional players will be accepted according to the sign-up on Golf Genius.
• Fees are determined by each host club and include golf, cart fee, lunch, prizes, and bag boy tip.
• The Business Office will issue a check for members who are signed up to play. The Tar Heel representative will mail it to the host club. Members Club Account will be billed once this check is issued from PW.
• There is a Tar Heel 72-hour Cancellation Policy.  In the event a paid player cannot attend the tournament, a Pinewild Board Member and/or Delegate will assist in filling the spot to avoid loss of money.
