Invitation Criteria

This is an INVITE ONLY event. For 2021, players qualify for the Junior Masters in the 18 & under, 16 & under, and 14 & under divisions based on their previous year’s position (total points accumulated) on the Alberta Maple Leaf Junior Tour (MJT) Order of Merit (OOM). Moving forward, we will revert  to the Golf Canada OOM to determine invitations for the tournament in 2022 and beyond.

Invitations for this year’s Junior Masters will be sent in March to all players in the province that qualify. The field will consist of approximately 10-15 boys in each age division with a maximum field of 40 boys, and approximately 5-10 girls in each age division with a maximum field of 20 girls.

Important Information

• Caddies are NOT Permitted for the event.
• Parents and other spectators are permitted to follow the groups, however, we kindly ask that they remain 20 yards from the players at all times and remain on the cart paths as much as possible.
• Power carts are NOT permitted for any spectators.
• The 14 & Under Division will play from a reduced yardage than the 16 and 18 & Under Divisions and will not be eligible to win the overall title. This is to ensure the course is setup competitively for all players.
• Power carts are not permitted for the event.
• A meal will be provided to all players after each round. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please contact Marlene Sanderson (marlene.sanderson@pgaofalberta.com).
• Contact Wolf Creek Golf Resort directly (403-783-6050) if you would like to play a practice round and identify yourself as a Junior Masters participant.
• There will be NO refunds given for entry fees for any withdrawals after the draw has been posted.
