The competition is 18 holes of stroke play with a field of 26 players, 12 contestants in the Senior Division and 14 contestants in the Super-Senior Division. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

 

Practice: Practice rounds can be scheduled by contacting the golf shop at 412-751-2943. The PGA Golf Professional is Zachary Turek. Practice rounds are available at the discretion of the golf shop. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. Practice rounds will be at a cost of $30.

 

Tee Markers: Play for the Senior Division is from the BLUE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,250 Yards). Play for Super-Senior Division is from the WHITE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,000 Yards). Yardages will be contingent on course conditions.

 

Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is permitted for the competition and included in the entry fee. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Two carts per group will be permitted for threesomes and one cart per twosome.

 

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Pittsburgh area. You may also create an account with Affinity Travel Benefits here and find lodging to close to the tournament site on the Association Tournaments tab.

 

Food: The WPGA provides water on course, coffee & juices prior to the competition and lunch will be provided after the competition. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

 

Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

 

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability. Spectators may purchase lunches at their own expense. Directions to the club can be found on the Green Oaks Country Club website.
