2021-2022 Virtual Golf Club of Brunswick Indoor League

Conditions of Competition

 

• The league consists of 2-person teams and will comprise of  8 weekly regular season rounds, each 18 holes, with the following rotation of formats: Scramble, Best Ball, Alternate Shot, Aggregate. 
• Every team plays the same course each week with the same playing conditions, including the program being set for putting at 8-foot "gimmes". There are no mulligans, as glitches in the system are minimal and are considered "rub of the indoor green" just like unlucky bounces in real golf. You also may not play or practice on the competition course on the same day prior to your league round, just like real golf. 
• Teammates must play their weekly round together (NO SUBS ALLOWED) by reserving 2 hours of simulator time each week (Monday-Sunday). If you feel you need more time to complete your league round, it is up to you to reserve more sim time (if player each paid "all-in" entry, this covers 2 hours per week, additional time not included).
• Each weekly round will pay out pro shop credit to the winner ($60 per team) and runners-up ($40) in each flight (or $50 each for gross & net winner in Flight 2). The following point system will award season points each week: 1st place: 50 points, 2nd place: 30 points, 3rd place: 19 points, 4th place: 14 points, 5th place: 11 points, 6th place: 10 points (Flight 2 adjusted for Gross/Net payouts, Ties split points between appropriate places, so 134 points is up for grabs total each week). 
• The top 6-8 regular season finishers in each flight will qualify for match play (best ball format) with top 2 in each flight receiving a bye if necessary. There will be 3-4 rounds of flight matches to determine each flight winner, who will receive $200 (per team) in pro shop credit. 
• The 3 flight winners will complete the season by competing in a Point Quota Shootout (the only net event of the league, handicaps based on tournament committee decision per league scores). The winning team of the Shootout will be crowned the League Champion and receive an additional $200 in shop credit.
