2022 NSW OPEN QUALIFYING EVENT

NSW Medallist, NSW Strokeplay, and NSW Amateur Champions will gain automatic entry to their respective 2022 NSW Open to play alongside some of the best professional golfers in the country and from around the world.

EVENT INFORMATION

The NSW Amateur Championships are National and World Ranking Events.

The Championship is open to amateur golfers who hold a current Australian or overseas equivalent GC handicap that does not exceed 5.4 for men and 12.4 for women. Club Champions from NSW Golf Clubs are eligible to enter the Championship if their GA handicap is greater than 5.4.

Field Size

The maximum field size for the Championship will be 264 players (132 men, 132 women).

The Championship Committee reserves the right to increase the number of male or female players should the total field size not be achieved. In the event of entry applications exceeding the number of places available in the Championship, applications from those higher handicap competitors not exempt from a handicap ballot will be decided by a handicap ballot. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed without delay and given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur. Monies received from balloted entrants, who do not subsequently
compete, will be refunded in their entirety.

NSW Medal
The NSW Medal is played over two courses. It is two rounds of 18-holes stroke play for the men’s field, played over two days. The field changes venue for their second round. The winner of the 36 holes stroke play section of the Championship is the winner of the NSW Medal.
