Format:

One 18-hole stipulated round of individual stroke play.  Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low individual scores will advance to sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open Championship at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin on June 15-18, 2017. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:

Starting times will start at 9:05am off of #1 and at 9:00am off of #10. Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:

Fee - $65 incl. cart (Tuesday-Thursday), $75 incl. cart (Friday-Sunday); $50 walking (Tuesday-Thursday), $60 walking (Friday-Sunday).  Please call the Pro Shop no more than one week prior to the desired date of play. All times are on a space available basis around member play.  Rates available to CONTESTANT and CADDIE ONLY.

 

Cart Information:

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk. Pull-carts are permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted, however, they are not available from Granite Bay Golf Club.

 

Practice Balls:

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The practice range will open at 7:00am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise.

 

Payment Information:

Cash and Credit Cards (no Discover) are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).

 

Food and Beverage Information:

Tilly’s Pub and Cobble Café will be open starting at 7:30 AM.

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2300 for a refund prior to June 5, 2017. No refunds will be issued after June 5, 2017.  A $35 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:

The Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2017 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I.

 

Automotive Transportation:

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies.  See Appendix I.

 

Footwear:

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.  Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

Distance-Measuring Devices are NOT permitted.

 

Grooves Condition:

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
