Welcome to the 2022 Gold Coast Teams Challenge Pro Am. We're excited to offer our first pro am event and look forward to hosting you all with our friends at Royal Pines Golf Club, the Gold Coast's premier tournament venue.

 

The GC Teams Challenge will see three amatuer golfers join with a professional golfer for three rounds of golf at Royal Pines. The event will be played as an aggregate stableford where the best two individual stableford scores (professional included) from each round will be added together to form your total score. Eg. For round one, player one has 36 points, player two 28 points, player three 31 points, and professional 38 points. Your daily score would be 36 + 38 = 74 points.

 

Professionals will play for a $35,000 prize purse with amatuers playing for $30,000 in prizes with daily and overall prizes awarded. The GC Teams Challenge is strictly limited to 60 teams.

 

We have several options for accommodation thanks to our partners with great packages available for onsite at RACV Royal Pines Resort,  and in Surfers Paradise at Mantra Towers of Chevron, Mantra Sun City, and Mantra Circle On Cavill.

 

The event will kick off on Sunday evening with a casual welcome night at Tees Clubhouse at Royal Pines Golf Club with entertainment, some ligh tnibbles and a couple of drinks. We will also be holding both a professional and amateur shootout where the lucky players will be drawn out of a hat to compete for some extra prizes. Players will tee off from just outside of Tees Clubhouse and hit to the practice green in a nearest the pin competition. This is a way fun to start the week with plenty of banter and jeering!

 

Each day will see players split into two fields with morning and afternoon shotgun starts. Players will rotate the first two rounds, eg. morning on day one and afternoon on day two. The third round will be a seeded draw will the leading 30 teams playing in the afternoon field and the other 30 teams in the morning field. There will be a presentation function following play for the afternoon fields to announce the overall winners. 

 

Professionals are invited to bring their own team to play with. For those with an applicable ranking you will be able to enter as per usual through the PGA. When your amateur players enter please have them make a note that they will be playing with you. For those professionals with no current ranking, we have a number of invite spots available which we are using for professional who have no current ranking but wish to bring a team. These invites are limited so please contact us asap to secure your spot.

Once you have registered, we will send you an invoice with payment instructions. To secure your place in the event, we require a $250 deposit per person within 7 days, with the balance due 1st July 2022.
