2022 A.C.T Week of Golf

 

Gold Creek Country Club – Additional Local Rules

 

(To be read in conjunction with the JNJG and GNSW Rules Hard Card and the Rules of Golf as adopted by the R&A)

 

JNJG Tournament Officials

Players may call the following numbers and an official will attend as soon as possible:

 

  1. Chris Allen – 0417 413 427 (Rules Official)

In the case of a player being unable to gain assistance from one of the numbers above, the player may proceed in accordance with the procedure outlined in Rule 20.1c (3) of the Rules of Golf and play a second ball before seeking clarification with an official after the round.

 

  1. Out of Bounds Not Covered By The JNJG / GNSW Hard Card (Rule 18)
  • Includes areas beyond white stakes with black tops.
  • A ball coming to rest on or beyond certain roads / paths is out of bounds, even if it comes to rest on another part of the course that is in bounds for other holes.
  • These areas include cart path tunnels between: 1 green to 2 tee, 2 green to 3 tee, 3 green to 4 tee, 7 green to 8 tee, 8 green to 9 tee, 11 green to 12 tee, 14 green to 15 tee.

 

  1. Abnormal Course Conditions (Including Obstructions and GUR) (Rule 16)
  • Any area bounded by dotted white paint
  • Single free standing fence immediately behind the 2nd green

 

  1. Hole 8 – Garden Bed & Penalty Area Dropping Zone
  • For a ball coming to rest in the garden bed RHS of the green, defined by a dotted white line, as an additional relief option, a player may drop a ball in the dropping zone provided, with no penalty.
  • For a ball coming to rest in the penalty area on the RHS of 8 green, as an additional option, players may drop a ball in the drop zone, under the penalty of one stroke.

 

  1. Integral Objects
  • Rock mounds are integral objects (eg. sides of fairway on hole 11, 16 & 17). No free relief.

             

  1. Scoring Area
  • A player’s scorecard is deemed officially returned to the Committee when the player has left the designated scoring area, which for the 2022 A.C.T Week of Golf will be JNJG marquee adjacent to the 18th green.

 

Notes:

  • Toilets: located at the pro shop & at Trevino’s restaurant
  • Distance markers: measured to the centre of the green and are measured in metres
