Weather Policy

PLAYER SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY, you the player are empowered to deem conditions unsafe to play anytime you see lightning or feel danger.

Severe weather-related conditions may delay or suspend play. If the course doesn’t have a warning signal our staff will text you and or come notify your group of potential poor playing conditions that may require a shelter and place temporarily or asked to return to the clubhouse.

If it is raining and you are not warned, we will play through.

Such conditions are as follows:

  • The safety of the player due to the danger from lighting
  • The course being deemed unplayable typically by heavy rain and puddling (as determined by the host course head pro)

If such inclement weather looks certain the day before the event the tournament director will do their best to cancel the event so that players avoid unnecessary travel times.

if such inclement weather results during play, every effort will be made by the tournament committee to get in the full number of prescribed holes within reason. If play looks like it can resume within a few hours than all players should remain on property at the host facility and await official announcements from the tournament committee.

If the delay looks like it will suspend play due to the course becomes unplayable, and/or lighting is consistent the event will result in one of the following:

1. We will award National champions and shorten the event based after a two-day total of 18 holes.

2. If we cannot get at least 18 holes in we will postpone Nationals and transfer all entry fees to the new date in 2022 or give players the option to apply their entry any 2023 tournament.

There will be no refunds given once our staff prepares 10 days in advance of the event.
