Maryland Amateur Championship Format/Field Size: The number of qualifying places will be the number required to create a minimum starting field of 120 players (including the exempt entrants) at Argyle Country Club for the qualifying round on June 9.  Any withdrawal from this field will be filled via a blind draw from a pool of the remaining low scorers at the four qualifiers, which will be listed on the website.

The stroke play qualifying round at Argyle Country Club will determine the seeding for the match play field of 32. The defending champion (Brad Whitaker) will automatically qualify for the field and will receive the #1 seed unless he elects to compete for the medalist prize.  Ties for medalist and for the last place in the match play field will be resolved by a hole-by-hole play-off immediately after the completion of the stroke play qualifying round. Two eighteen hole matches will be played on both Friday and Saturday with a thirty-six hole final match on Sunday.

Carts: At Argyle Country Club, automotive transportation is prohibited for players AND caddies - a player may either carry his own bag or bring his own caddie. Spectator Carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit.
