Entry Fee: $200/team; includes carts and range balls for both players.
Eligibility: This tournament is open to male amateur members of MSGA member clubs (partners do not have to be from the same club). Each team shall have a maximum combined up-to-date USGA index at a licensed club of not more than 24.0. The handicap indexes must be at the member club shown on the entry form, must be current on the date of the event, and must be viewable on the verification site of GHIN.com.
Entries are subject to rejection by the MSGA at any time, including during the competition. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct, such as violation of host club policies, or failure to comply with the requirements of the handicap system.
Refund Policy: A withdrawal prior to seven (7) days of the event will receive a refund minus a $25 processing fee. There will not be a refund if a withdrawal is received less than seven days prior to the event without written medical excuse. Medical refunds will also be subject to a $25 processing fee.
Championship Information
Format/Field Size: The tournament will be 18 holes Four-Ball Stroke Play. The field will be limited to the first 60 team entries received on a timely basis. Additional teams will be placed on a waiting list.
Carts: Automotive transportation is permitted for players and caddies. Cart fees are included in the entry fee. **New for 2022 - A player and his caddie may ride in a golf cart duing a round, but both may not ride at the same time. For pull cart policy at qualifying site, please contact the host club. Spectator Carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit.
Rules: USGA Rules of Golf govern all play. The player is also responsible for being familiar with Local Rules and Conditions of Competition for MSGA Championships.
Starting Times: Tournament Starting Times will be emailed approximately seven (7) days before the event. Times can also be found by visiting the 61st Maryland Four-Ball Championship Tournament Portal or www.msga.org.
Practice Rounds: Additional Information regarding practice rounds will be updated in the coming weeks.
Tournament Yardage: The official tournament yardage will be udpated several days before the event.
Estimated Yardage: 6,713 (Blue Tees)
Withdrawals/No Shows: Players who Withdraw or No Show during an event without a justified reason (injury, illness, family emergency, etc.) may not be allowed to participate in future MSGA events.
Prizes: The MSGA will award prizes to the winning team with other appropriate prizes to be distributed. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole-by-hole play-off will follow immediately upon the completion of play.
