2018 - NEWGA
The Woodlands Club - July 9-11,2018

 

 Eligibility:   A contestant may be any amateur woman golfer, with a USGA handicap index of 17.4 or below, (by 6/15/2018 revision) who is an active member of one of the NEWGA member state associations or a legal resident of one of the six New England States. NEWGA associations may invite non-members who are residents of their state and have a handicap index that meets the entry requirements.

A junior is any girl who is a resident of the respective state and has not reached her 19th birthday by the opening day of the tournament. A junior of 18 years of age is eligible only if she has not yet begun her first semester of college. A junior does not have to be a member of a NEWGA member club, but must have a USGA handicap index of 17.4 or below. Parents and guardians are NOT allowed to caddy for Juniors.

Seniors must be 50 years old and Legend must be 65 years old by the opening day of the tournament 

 

Entries - Form, Fee, Closing Date:  Entrants are solely responsible for securing and returning completed entry form by the due date.  Entries must post marked by 6/23/2018 and be accompanied by the entry fee of $185.00 (Includes cart fees for all 3 rounds, tee gift, range balls, BBQ) Entries close 6/28/2018

Practice  Rounds:

Competitors and their guest will be allowed to play a practice round between June 1st and July 8th  by calling the Pro Shop 207-781-3104

Tournament Information: Each state has a quota of 18 players. The total field will be 108 players for 36 holes and then cut to the top 70 (low score) players (including ties) for the final round of play including any player within ten shots of the leader in player’s respective age category. Players are chosen based on lowest handicap by index as of USGA Handicap Revision effective June 15th. A “Wait List” for greater than 18 applicants from a state is created by handicap index for each state after all states have entered their player lists. If a state is unable to fill its allotted positions, the unused positions will be divided equally among the states that have a waiting list.

 

Tournament Format: 

Monday, July 9th: Tee Times beginning 7:30am to 1:30

Tuesday, July 10th: Tee Times beginning 7:30am to 10:30

Wednesday, July 11th: Tee Times beginning 7:30am to 10:30

 

Tournament Play will be off June 15th handicaps (6/15/2018 to form the waitlist)

 

After June 28th there is no refund for a withdrawal

 

Cart and Caddie policy: Carts are required and fees are included in the entry fee for all rounds

 

 

Dress Code: Proper dress is required at all times. Spikeless shoes are mandatory.
