The new South Course at Corica Park opened in the summer of 2018, after a dramatic restoration under the design eye of famed architect Rees Jones. The Winter Invitational was first played on the new "home course of AmateurGolf.com" at the end of that year. The new layout plays faster and firmer, with features of some of the world famous courses of the Australian Sandbelt.
