CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur golfers who: (a) are members in good standing of a WSGA Member Club; (b) have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index issued by a WSGA member club; and (c) meet at least one of the following requirements: 

Men's and Senior Men's Requirements:

  • Club Champion of a WSGA Member Club (2016 or 2017)
  • Champion of any of the past 5 Men's Champion of Champions (2013-2017)
  • Champion of any of the past 5 Senior Men's Champion of Champions (2013-2017)
  • Champion of a WSGA Championship; excluding the Parent-Child Championship (2017)
  • Champion of any event on the WSGA Men's Performance Points List (2017)
  • Champion of any event on the WSGA Senior Men's Performance Points List (2017)
  • Top-10 on the WSGA Men’s Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2017)
  • Top-5 on the WSGA Senior Men’s Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2017)
  • Top-5 on the WJGA Boys' Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2017)
  • WJGA State Junior Boys Champion (2017)

 

Women's and Senior Women's Requirements:

  • Club Champion of a WSGA Member Club (2016 or 2017)
  • Champion of any of the past 5 Women's Champion of Champions (2013-2017)
  • Champion of any of the past 5 Senior Women's Champion of Champions (2013-2017)
  • Champion of a WSGA Championship; excluding Parent-Child Championship (2017)
  • Champion of any event on the WSGA Women's Performance Points List (2017)
  • Champion of any event on the WSGA Senior Women's Performance Points List (2017)
  • Top-5 on the WSGA Women’s Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2017)

  • Top-5 on the WJGA Girls' Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2017)
  • WJGA State Junior Girls Champion (2017)

 

Format: 36-hole individual stroke play competition (gross only). Men’s, Women’s, Senior Men's, and Senior Women's Championships are separate but run concurrently. 


Age Limit: Men's and Women's Championship: No age limit; Senior Men's Championship: Players must be 55 years of age or older by April 24, 2018; Senior Women's Championship: Players must be 50 years of age or older by April 24, 2018. 

Handicap Limit: No Limit. Players must have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index issued by a WSGA member club.

Field Limit: Open to the first 96 male players and 48 female players to complete an entry form and meet at least one of the requirements. NOTE: The WSGA reserves the right to modify the field size of all championships to reach a full field of 144 players. 

 

Entry Fee: $135.00
 

Cart Fee: $17.50 per day/player; to be paid during registration. 

Entry Deadline: April 3, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. (PDT)

 

Entry Includes: Two rounds of championship play, one hosted practice round, warm up range balls, tee prize, lunch following final round, Kusak crystal for top finishers and a merchandise payout ($6,000 based on a full field). 

WSGA Performance Points:

  • Men’s: Awarded to Champion (50 pts.), Runner-up (25 pts.), Top-5 (10 pts) and Top-10 (5 pts.) finishers.
     
  • Women’s: Awarded to Champion (25 pts.), Runner-up (10 pts.) and Top-5 (5 pts.) finishers.
     
  • Senior Men's: Awarded to Champion (30 pts.), Runner-up (15 pts.) and Top-5 (5 pts.) finishers.
     
  • Senior Women's: Awarded to Champion (15 pts.), Runner-up (10 pts.) and Top-5 (5 pts.) finishers.

 

Exemptions:

  • Champions earn an exemption into the 2019 WSGA Champion of Champions at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash.
