A golf marathon benefitting local First Tee chapters.

Thank you for your interest in the Chambers Bay Solstice, a golf marathon event designed to challenge your skill and endurance while raising funds to benefit local chapters of the First Tee.

Chambers Bay, home to the 2015 US Open, presents a unique challenge; it combines a traditional links layout with elevation change and dramatic views to test your legs and willpower over this dawn to dusk event.

In its third year, the 2022 Chambers Bay Solstice will be the best yet, and we invite you to join us. Bring a friend, a foursome, or sign up solo and we will match you up with a group of a similar age and skill level.

Date: Sunday, June 26, 2022

Sunday Marathon Event: $550 (+ tax) per player

Time: Dawn to Dusk (check-in ~3:15 am)

Format: The Solstice is a golf marathon with the goal of players achieving 54+ holes (the current record is 72 holes in one day).  There are some individual skill contests and team events, but the focus on finishing as many holes as possible before dark!

What's included:

  • Green fees & push cart use
  • Sponsored hat, polo, towel, and player gift bag

Field: Golfers of all ages are welcome. Players must be able to walk several rounds at Chambers Bay in any weather conditions and maintain pace of 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 hours for 18 holes (our target pace during this event).  Training targets will be provided and players are encouraged to prepare for this endurance effort.

Course: Chambers Bay will be set up for fast play, quick transitions, and continuous refueling & rehydration to keep pace of play high and player energy maximized!  Like that other solstice on the Oregon coast... Groups will be asked to pre-set their pace goal and event marshalls will be tracking your pace to help us all hit our playing goals.

Caddie Services: Chambers Bay is a walking-only facility.  Caddies are available for $100 per bag, per round.

Cancellation Policy: If your circumstances change you may request and receive a refund.  The % of refund will vary based on time of the request.  Replacing yourself or team members with golfers prepared to support the event goals may help to reduce the refund penalty.

DONATION AND PLEDGES

All proceeds benefit local chapters of the First Tee.  $40,000 was raised by our players in 2020 and the 2021 field raised over $100,000.  We have ambitious fundraising goals this year and will provide prize incentives for your campaign efforts.

Our fundraising goal for 2022 is $150,000.  Will you take home the Fundraising trophy?

Details will be sent on how to make your donation and build a donation campaign on the PledgeIt platform.  With a few simple messages to friends, family, and colleagues you can drive supporters to make a one-time donation based on your goals.  Donate early and seek corporate matching options to enhance the fundraising efforts.  Pledging per hole is also an option.
