This is an adult (over 18) and Junior (under 18) pairs Stableford Greensomes competition played over 18 holes. Both players must hold current CONGU handicap.

The Smith/Herbert trophies are presented to the pair who have the best Stableford score of the day.

Alongside the Smith/Herbert there is an adult/junior Stableford pairs competition played over 9 holes. The adult should have a current CONGU handicap and the Junior no handicap. The winning pair would have the best Stableford score over the 9 holes.

The Smith/Herbert Trophies were presented in 2003 by Trish Smith of Bamburgh Castle who was then County Secretary and Anne Herbert of Gosforth Park who was County Captain in 2002 and County President in 2013-14
