FIELD LIMIT
Field will be limited to the first 96 qualified boys’ entrants and 48 qualified girls’ entrants. Entries will be accepted according to the time of receipt of entry and entry fee in addition to exempt players and Presidential Invitees.
ENTRY DEADLINE
Entry applications, along with the appropriate fee, must be completed or received by the PNGA by
4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds due to cancellation before the close of entry are subject to a $10 service charge. After the close of entry and up until round one pairings are released, refunds for documented and approved medical reasons are subject to a $25 service charge. No refund for any reason will be issued after round one pairings have been released.
Note: Players who cancel and are replaced by a player on the waiting list will only be subject to a $10 service fee.
COURSE YARDAGE
Course yardage is subject to change based on weather/course conditions. Hole-by-hole yardages are posted on the championship portals and will be emailed to players.

Course Yardage – Girls: 6,027 yards, par-72.
ONSITE REGISTRATION
All contestants must register in person with the PNGA at Wildhorse GC prior to starting round one play. Registration will be located at the clubhouse during the below times.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 14 from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
MONDAY, AUGUST 15 from 6:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS
Stroke play starting times for Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16 will be posted on the championships portal and emailed to players on Monday, August 1. Preferred starting times and pairing requests will not be accepted.
SCHEDULE
STROKE PLAY: 36-hole stroke play to determine the 32 boys’ and 16 girls’ qualifiers for match play. A tie for the last qualifier’s place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off after the final group finishes on Tuesday, August 16.
MONDAY, AUGUST 15: Round 1 – Stroke Play Qualifying

TUESDAY, AUGUST 16: Round 2 – Stroke Play Qualifying

MATCH PLAY: A draw based on qualifying scores will be used. Ties in qualifying rounds will be decided by a blind draw, except that places of those participating in a play-off will be determined by performance in the play-off.

PRACTICE ROUND
All contestants may play one complimentary practice round prior to the championship. Practice rounds will be available on Sunday, August 14th after 1:00 p.m. All starting times are based on availability and at the discretion of the golf shop staff. Practice rounds may be scheduled starting on Tuesday, July 26 after the entry deadline. Tee times can be made by calling the golf shop at (541) 276-5588.
PRACTICE RANGE
The practice range will be open with hosted warm up balls from 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Range balls will be available for purchase from 2:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
FOOD SERVICE (NO-HOST)
Food service will be available at the Clubhouse Bar & Grill from at 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. each day. Full menu service as well as breakfast grab-and-go items, sandwiches, snack items, and beverages will be available.
HOSTED LUNCHES
All contestants will receive a $40 gift card redeemable in the Clubhouse Bar & Grill. Gift cards will be distributed at registration.
BOTTLED WATER
The PNGA will provide bottled water and snacks during the championship. Coolers will be at multiple locations on the golf course.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
All major credit cards and cash.
HOURS OF OPERATION
The golf shop will be open from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. each day.
LOCKER ROOM
Wildhorse GC does not have a clubhouse locker room.
GOLF CARTS
The Local Rule prohibiting the use of motorized transportation for competitors as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect.
SPECTATOR CARTS
To provide an equal championship platform for all competitors, the use of carts by spectators is not permitted by the PNGA.
CHAMPIONSHIP ACCOMMODATIONS FOR DISABLED SPECTATORS
The PNGA is committed to providing an enjoyable spectator experience for people with disabilities at PNGA championships. Requests from spectators seeking transportation onto the golf course due to a permanent disability, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), should be submitted one week in advance to the PNGA Championship Department. While spectator carts may not always be available at each site, the PNGA will make every effort to accommodate these requests when available.
Generally, an ADA covered disability is defined as a “physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of the individual”. See, 42 USCA §12102. Spectators with a “temporary” injury or impairment that is not an ADA disability will not be allowed use of a golf cart under this Policy.

PULL CARTS
Pull carts are permitted but will be not be available onsite for rent.
CADDIES
Caddies are permitted, but host club caddies will not be available. EXCEPTION: A player's caddie must not have reached their nineteenth birthday on the day in which they caddie.
GALLERY
Galleries are permitted during the championship and may include parents and other relatives, golf professionals, etc. of a contestant. Contestants will ultimately be held responsible for the actions of gallery members.
Galleries must keep their distance from contestants at all times during a stipulated round of at least 25 yards and walking in the rough is recommended so as not to interfere with play. Coaching, intimidation or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Those violating this condition will immediately be asked to leave the golf course and may be refused gallery privileges and may also subject the player to being disqualified.
PRIZES
A) Stroke Play – A crystal medallion will be awarded to the lowest qualifying scorer. In the event of a tie for Medalist honors, a duplicate medal will be awarded.
B) Match Play – Crystal awards will be awarded to the champion, runner-up, semifinalists and quarterfinalists (boys championship only). The champions’ names will be engraved on the respective perpetual trophies.
C) Hole-In-One and Eagle Awards – Awards will be given to any contestant who scores a hole-in-one
during either the stroke or match play portion of the championship. Awards for eagles will be presented to any contestant who scores an eagle during the 36-hole stroke play qualifying.

AWARDS CEREMONY
A brief awards presentation ceremony will take place immediately following the final matches on Friday, August 19 at approximately 4:30 p.m.
EXEMPTIONS
The 2022 PNGA Junior Boys’ and Girls’ Amateur Champions will receive an exemption into the 2023 championship.
GHIN SCORE POSTING
The PNGA will post stroke play competition scores for all players to the USGA GHIN System. Players are responsible for posting their match play scores.
DRESS CODE
Players and caddies must be neat in appearance with respect to personal grooming and clothing while on host club property. The PNGA Dress Code Policy is available at the following link: thepnga.org/championship-home/championship-policies/ and will be provided to all players, along with any additional measures required by the host club, in the Player Memorandum.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The PNGA expects all contestants, caddies, gallery, and guests to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on club property during a PNGA championship. Unbecoming conduct or behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time, from any PNGA event. The following are some examples of unbecoming conduct or behavior:
- Repeated use of loud, abusive, and/or profane language
- Throwing and/or breaking equipment (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration
- Damaging host club, PNGA, and/or fellow contestant property
- Public criticism or verbal abuse of host club, officials, volunteers or staff, and/or PNGA volunteers, staff or fellow contestants
- Potential endangerment of others
- Intentionally violating stated club policy
- Violation of PNGA Dress Code and/or Footwear Policy
- Other conduct deemed unbecoming
The Committee in charge of the competition shall be the sole judge of determining Conduct Code violations.
UNOFFICIAL WITHDRAWAL
After the entry deadline and during play of the championship, players must notify the PNGA and state his/her need to withdraw. Entrants who unofficially withdraw (by not notifying the PNGA or without having sufficient reason) will not be granted entry into any future PNGA Championship for a minimum of two years.
PACE OF PLAY POLICY
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s Stroke Play Pace of Play Policy and the PNGA’s Match Play Pace of Play Policy, which are in effect for this championship.
LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s 2022 Local Rules and Terms of the Competition, which will be in effect at all championships.
PROHIBITED USE OF AUDIO EQUIPMENT
Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcasts or the like), including by using speakers, headphones or earbuds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule - see Rule 4.3.
