Low 42 entries by USGA Handicap Index.

FORMAT

36 holes of stroke play qualifying followed by match play for up to 32 players in two flighted brackets.  Stroke play qualifying scores are for seeds in match play brackets. The low 16 scores from stroke play qualifying will comprise the Championship flight. The remaining 16 players to qualify for match play will be placed in a Tournament flight of 16.  Match Play – 18 holes per match. The schedule for qualifying and match play is as follows:

 

  • Wednesday, May 30: 18 holes of stroke play qualifying
  • Thursday, May 31: 18 holes of stroke play qualifying
  • Friday, June 1: Championship & Tournament Flights - Rd of 16 in a.m., Quarterfinals in p.m.
  • Saturday, June 2: Championship & Tournament Flights - Semifinals in a.m., Finals in p.m.

PRACTICE ROUNDS

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call Reynolds Lake Oconee-Great Waters to reserve your practice round starting time. Practice round cart and range fee is $30 plus tax. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

 

  • Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, anytime, based on club availability.
  • Friday-Sunday, after 1:00 p.m.

YARDAGES & TEES

A combination of tee markers and yardages will be utilized for the championship.  See the event details page for more information and a link to the practice yardage sheet.  Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition. A complete practice yardage sheet will be provided for players playing practice rounds.

GOLF SHOP &

DRIVING RANGE:

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on May 24. 

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player withdraws must be called or e-mailed in to the GSGA office so that an alternate may be contacted.

CARTS

Practice round cart and range fees are $30 plus tax. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. Cart fees for the stroke play qualifying rounds are included with the entry fee.  Players advancing to match play will be responsible for an additional cart and range fee of $30 plus tax per day.  These fees will be charged to the player through the online registration system after the competition has been completed.  These fees must be paid regardless of whether or not the player chooses to use a cart.

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available all day.  Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the winner and those advancing to match play in all flights.

REFUND POLICY & WITHDRAWS

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by notifying the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or via e-mail.
