PROVINCIAL TEAM & EXEMPTIONS FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Provincial Team Funding Policy
    • Golf NB will provide travel subsidies, in the amounts equivalent to those outlined in the Provincial Team Funding Policy, to the top age-eligible New Brunswick finishers at the NB Ladies Provincial Championships under the following guidelines/restrictions;
       

      • Women's Amateur - Top 3 New Brunswick finishers in the Overall Competition.
        • Players MUST finish as one of the Top 3 NB players in the Overall Championship. 
        • If the player is of Senior or Mid-Amateur age, they can also access funding for the Canadian Women's Mid-Senior Championship.
           
      • Women's Senior - Top 3 New Brunswick finishers in the Senior Competition.
        • Players MUST finish as one of the Top 3 NB players in the NB Ladies Senior Championship.
           
      • Women's Mid-Amateur - The top finisher between 25 & 49 years of age only.
        • Players MUST be Top finishing NB players between 24 & 49 years of age.
           
  • In 2022 Golf Canada awarded Golf NB the following exemptions into their various National Championships;
    • Canadian Women's Amateur Championship - 4
    • Canadian Women's Mid-Amateur & Senior Championship - 7

 

PLEASE NOTE: Model Local Rule G-10  is NOT IN EFFECT during Golf NB Provincial Championships however, it IS IN EFFECT during all Golf Canada National Championships. 

 

*Model Local Rule G-10 is in effect at all National Amateur Championships (including qualifying rounds) and RBC Canadian Open qualifying competitions. In making a stroke, the player must not use a club, except for a putter, which exceeds 46 inches in length. Penalty for making a stroke with a club in breach of this Local Rule: Disqualification

 

Notes:

  1. To receive funding players MUST participate in their respective National Championship for which they earned the subsidy.
  2. Players may access funding for multiple National Championships, provided they are “age-eligible” and meet the qualification standards as outlined above.
  3. Funding is "None-Transferable". Should a qualifying player not participate in their respective National Championships, the subsidy WILL NOT be passed on to the next available player. 
  4. Players are responsible to make their own arrangements for tournament registration, travel, and accommodations.
