Format:
54 holes stroke play, 18 holes per day. Contestants will play from the NCGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet). If necessary, there will be a play-off to determine first place immediately following the conclusion of play. If a play-off cannot be conducted (decision of the Committee and golf course) the USGA method of matching cards will be used. Ties for second or third place will be broken using the USGA method of matching cards.
Competition Schedule:
The first two days are double wave with the morning rounds starting at 7:30 AM off the 1st and 10th tees. The afternoon rounds start at 12:30 PM, also off the 1st and 10th tees. The low 40 players and ties will advance to the final round and will start at 7:30 AM off the 1st tee only. Players will be re-paired by score for the final round. Please check the NCGA website for starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
Practice Round Information:
The NCGA has reserved practice rounds for contestants only on Thursday, July 5th from 1:00 – 2:50 PM. Please contact the Poppy Hills pro shop at (831) 250-1819 to schedule a practice round no later than 12 noon on July 2nd. Unbooked times will be released to the general public at that time and calls for practice rounds must be directed to the Pro Shop. The fee is $80 per player (cart not included).
Automotive Transportation:
The use of automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk during stipulated rounds. Spectator carts are prohibited.
Practice Balls:
The Pro Shop opens at 6:00am and the driving range opens at 6:30am. Range balls will be provided prior to each championship round.
Payment Information:
Cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).
Food and Beverage Information:
Porter’s Restaurant will be open from 6:00am to 6:00pm. The Snack Bar opens at 9:30am. No outside food and beverage is permitted.

Prior to the first day of the event, you must make yourself familiar with the Regulations and Policies,(including 2018 Hard Card, 2018 Pace of Play Policy, and Clarification on Smart Phones).
