  • All Timesheets MUST have written times entered at the completion of #15
  • Monitor your pace with the clocks on #4 tee, #8 tee, #12 tee, and #16 tee

AFTER a player has been assessed a penalty in 2 tournaments:

THAT player will be assessed additional penalties thereafter.

Tournament results will not be official until the Pace of Play times are reviewed.

Provisional Balls

  • It is strongly recommended that a provisional ball be played for a ball that may be LOST outside of a penalty area; or may be UNPLAYABLE; or may be OUT OF BOUNDS;
  • Exception:  #9 - Hit a provisional ball before establishing if ball is in penalty area

Relief from a Green side sprinkler head

  • If a sprinkler head is in your intended line of play and you are within two club lengths of the sprinkler head and the sprinkler head is within two club lengths to the edge of the green, you are entitled to free relief (drop your ball within one club length of where it was no closer to the flag).

Penalty Areas Adjacent to the Out of Bounds

  • If a player's ball clearly crossed a red-lined or staked area as it headed toward an out of bounds marker or fence, and if the ball is never found, the player shall proceed as if his ball were lost in the penalty area UNLESS there was clear visual evidence that the ball crossed through the penalty area and then crossed the out of bounds marker and remained out of bounds. Clear visual evidence can include an unobstructed view by the player or one of his fellow competitors of the ball flying past the out of bounds marker and remaining out of bounds or finding the ball out of bounds in a position in which the ball can be clearly identified by the player as his ball. In all other circumstances, the ball shall be assumed to have been lost in the penalty area, and the player must proceed under the rules applicable to that situation.

Waste Areas vs. Sand Traps (@Murphy Creek)

  • Waste Areas DO NOT have rakes in them In waste areas, the player may ground the club - when done, smooth ground with feet and/or club
  • Sand Traps DO have rakes in them In sand traps, the player may not ground the club - when done, smooth

ground with the rake provided

Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Green

  • If a sprinkler head is within 2 club lengths of the putting green AND is in your intended line of play AND your ball is within 2 clubs of the sprinkler head:  the ball may be lifted and dropped at the nearest point no nearer the hole.

Out-of-Bounds and Lost Balls

  • If there is any doubt, a player should play a provisional ball (at time the original ball is hit) from the position of where the original ball was played.  If the provisional ball is used the player will be assessed a penalty of 1 stroke.
  • There is a 3-minute time limit when looking for a lost ball
  • If more than one player's ball is lost, players involved will look for each lost ball simultaneously
  • If the player DID NOT hit a provisional ball, then he must go the fairway equi-distant from where the ball went out of bounds or where the ball was lost and drop ball with a penalty of 2 strokes

Unplayable Lies

  • In the event that a ball is deemed unplayable: 1) The player may drop a ball within 2 club lengths of the unplayable ball, not nearer the hole, with a penalty of 1 stroke;   OR  2) If the player cannot get relief within 2 club lengths, the player can drop as far back as he wants, keeping the point of the unplayable lie in line with the flag stick, with a penalty of 1 stroke.
