History of the Junior Cup

The Junior Cup Tournament started at FHCC in 2016 and is now dedicated to the memory of

Dr. Richard (Ric) Behan who was an advocate for junior golf during his long membership.

It is Fountain Head’s effort to promote junior golf and our goal is to make this a premier junior tournament for girls and boys, by providing a first-class tournament and venue for sportsmanship and camaraderie of junior golfers. It is the goal of the Junior Cup to inspire youth to be better people, better students, and better golfers.

Golfers compete in three Age Divisions

(8-10)

(11-13)

(14-18)

The winner of the Boy’s and Girl’s Senior Division, each receive a $1,000 scholarship.

As well as a Scholarship Membership to Fountain Head CC.

The American Seniors Golf Association provided the original funding in a grant in honor of Dr. Behan.

Donations from individuals and various sponsors allow us to continue this endeavor.
