The Nicoll Cup

The Nicoll Cup is Carnoustie Golf Links’ most prestigious tournament for junior golfers who are under 14 years of age. The tournament has a wonderful history dating back to 1924 and many of Carnoustie’s greatest golfers have their name on the trophy. Open to all junior golfers who are under 14 years old on 1st January 2022, the championship is a scratch Match Play knockout competition played over 14 holes on The Carnoustie Burnside Course. As it is a scratch event, no handicap is required to enter. All matches (except the final) will be arranged on a date and time suitable for both players and matches must be completed by the set date. The competition starts on 1st April 2022 and a list of ‘round completed by’ dates is shown below:

1st Round - Completed by 22nd April
Quarter Finals - Completed by 13th May
Semi Finals - Completed by 3rd June
Final - Saturday 4th June - 1.52pm

*A total of 16 places are available in the starting field. If the entry exceeds 16 players, the field will be decided via a first-come, first-served process.
