Championship Format

The NextGen Québec Championship, fueled by JOURNIE Rewards is a 54-hole championship and a counting event towards the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

 

• Junior Boys Division: This competition will run concurrently through completion of 54 holes.
• Junior Girls Division: This competition will run concurrently through completion of 54 holes.

 

New for 2022 - After 36 holes, the field will be reduced after the second round.  Golf Canada reserves the right to modify the cut, based on final field numbers in each division.  The Top 50 Junior Boys and Top 20 Junior Girls, including ties, will make the cut and play in the final round.  The cut is only applicable for the NextGen Pacific, Ontario & Québec Championship where the maximum field sizes have been increased to 156 players.

Exemptions into National Championships

• The Top Eight (8) players in the Junior Boys division of the NextGen Québec Championship will earn exemptions into the 2022 Canadian Junior Boys Championship, August 9-13, at Rivershore Estates & Golf Links in Kamloops, British Columbia. 
• The Top Eight (8) players in the Junior Girls division of the NextGen Québec Championship will earn exemptions into the 2022 Canadian Junior Girls Championship, July 25-29, at Th Marshes Golf Club in Ottawa, Ontario. 

 

Play-Offs

A tie for 1st place in both the Junior Boys and Girls division, or a tie for an exemption spot in the Junior Boys division, will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following conclusion of play.  Please keep this in mind when making travel arrangements on the final day.

 

 

 

 

 

Formule de championnat

Le Championnat NextGen du Québec, propulsé par JOURNIE Récompenses, est un championnat de 54 trous et un événement comptant au Classement mondial de golf amateur (WAGR). 

 

• Catégorie garçons juniors : Cette compétition se disputera jusqu’à la conclusion du jeu sur 54 trous.
• Catégorie filles juniors : Cette compétition se disputera jusqu’à la conclusion du jeu sur 54 trous.

 

Nouveau en 2022 - Après 36 trous, le tableau de participation sera réduit après la deuxième ronde.  Golf Canada se réserve le droit de modifier le nombre de participants en fonction du nombre final de participants dans chaque division.  Les 50 premiers garçons juniors et les 20 premières filles juniors, y compris les égalités, seront éliminés et participeront à la ronde finale.  La réduction ne s'applique qu'au Championnat NextGen du Pacifique, de l'Ontario et du Québec, où la taille maximale du tableau de participation a été portée à 156 joueurs.

 

Exemptions au championnat national

• Les HUIT (8) premiers de la catégorie junior masculine au terme de chaque Championnat NextGen du Québec, mériteront une exemption pour participer au Championnat canadien junior masculin 2022, disputé du 6 au 10 août à Rivershore Golf Links à Kamloops, Colombie-Britannique.
• Les HUIT (8) premières (et égalités) de la catégorie junior féminine au terme de chaque Championnat NextGen du Québec, obtiendront une exemption pour participer au Championnat canadien junior féminin 2022, disputé du 25 au 29 juillet à The Marshes Golf Club à Ottawa, Ontario.

 

Prolongation

Toute égalité pour le premier rang de la division masculine et féminin ou pour rompre l’égalité pour un laissez-passer sera décidée par une prolongation trou-par-trou immédiatement après la conclusion du jeu. Veuillez garder cela à l’esprit lorsque vous planifierez vos déplacements du jour final.
