New England Women's Amateur Championship

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers who hold membership in a club belonging to one of the six New England State Golf Associations and have an up-to-date USGA/GHIN Handicap Index not exceeding 18.0
 
Entry Procedures: Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the NEGA Online Entry process by 5:00 pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Hotel Information: There are two host hotels for the Women's Amateur. Please note, both hotel blocks expire on Thursday, June 2nd. Please book your room as soon as possible to secure the group rate.

Format: Competition will be 54-holes stroke play over three days. The field will be cut to the low 50 players (21 Championship & 29 Tournament) after 36-holes. The cut will be distributed (by percentage) from each of the two tee sets. 

Tees & Awards: There are two tee sets in the New England Women's Amateur Championship. The Championship division is a gross-only competition played from approximately 5700 - 6000 yards (yardages subject to change). The Overall Champion, Runner-Up, and Junior Champion will be awarded from this tee. The Tournament Tee is a gross & net (using 6/19 handicap Revision) competition played from approximately 5400 - 5700 yards (yardages subject to change). The Senior and Legend Champions will be awarded from this division. Prize Certificates will be awarded to the best gross players from the Championship Tee and the best gross & net players from the Tournament Tee. 

Field: The Championship Proper field is limited to 120 players. The field will be cut to the low 50 players (and ties) after 36-holes. 

 

Practice Rounds: Practice Rounds will be available after 1PM on Sunday, June 19th. Please contact the CC of Vermont Pro Shop to secure a practice round.

Round 1 - June 20 (18 Holes)
Round 2 - June 21 (18 Holes) *Cut to Low 50 players plus ties*
Round 3 - June 22 (18 Holes)
The lowest scorer for 54 holes will be Champion.
If a tie for first place occurs, play will immediately continue hole-by-hole until a winner is determined. If ties for other positions occur, duplicate merchandise certificates will be awarded.
 
Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Players may use caddies during play. A player is not required to employ a caddie for any round of the competition. Players shall be permitted to use automotive transportation during play. The cost of cart transportation is included in the entry fee for all competitors. Please Note: The NEGA does NOT permit the use of more than two golf carts per group. Players may be required to share a cart, and the availability of a seat in a golf cart for a caddy is not gauranteed. 

Food/Beverage: The NEGA will be providing a complimentary luncheon on June 20th & 21st for all players. Food & Beverage is available for purchase on the final day of the competition. 

Starting Times: Championship Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors on/before Friday, June 10 by 5:00pm.

Inclement Weather/Cancelled Round Stipulation: The NEGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein.

Restrictions: If the Championship course is declared unplayable and as a result it is not possible to complete the 54 holes of play in the period in which the Championship is scheduled, the Championship will not be extended beyond the last scheduled day and the winner shall be the individual who returns the lowest score for the number of stipulated rounds played. The Committee may institute a cut in order to play the last stipulated round.

Withdrawal/Refund Policy
Competitors, who have submitted an entry for an NEGA event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the NEGA office in writing (e-mail is acceptable and encouraged) or by phone. Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if the NEGA is notified in writing or by phone seven days prior to each event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven days prior to each event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event (Championship or Qualifier).​
