New England Amateur Qualifying - Cape Club of Sharon (MA)

Practice Rounds: Players may arrange a practice round by contacting the Cape Club of Sharon Pro Shop and identifying themselves as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds will be offered based on club availability within the timeframes listed below. 

 

Availability

Monday's: No practice rounds available

Tuesday's: Anytime 

Wednesday's: Anytime

Thursdays: Anytime

Friday's: Available from 7:30 am to 10:30 am OR 3:00 pm and after

Saturday's: Available starting at 2:30 pm and after

Sunday's: Available starting at 3:30 pm and after

 

NOTES

  • The cost of a practice round is a mandatory cart fee of $30 (cash preferred). 
  • Tee Times must be made no more than five days in advance of a scheduled practice round, starting at 7:00am
  • Players are limited to one practice round for the qualifier
  • The driving range will be unavailable prior to any practice rounds
  • Please limit your practice round to 1 ball on each hole and be aware of your pace of play with surrounding groups.

Starting Times:  Play will begin at 7:00am off the 1st tee. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times" tab above. 

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 23 players and ties will advance to the Championship Proper. Players who qualify will advance to the 93rd New England Amateur Championship at Alpine CC July 18 - 20. 

 

Distance Devices:  The use of distance measuring devices is permitted. 

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is permitted and the cost of golf carts is included in the players entry fee. Automotive transportation will not be permitted for the Championship proper. Please Note: Per NEGA policy, there are no more than two carts allowed per group. 

 

Caddies: Caddies are permitted. Caddies may ride in a golf cart if space permits, but the NEGA does not permit more than two golf carts per group at any event. 

 

Competition Tees/ Yardage: The competition will be played from the GOLD tee yardage (Approx. 6,700 yards; par 72).

 

Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities: Open and available at 6:30 am. Food & Beverage service will not be available in the morning. Lunch service will be available for purchase beginning at 12:00pm. Due to limited space available, please be aware of other players warming up on the driving range, and limit your time on the driving range to 20-30 minutes prior to your starting time. 

 

 

*There will be no registration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to receive local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
