QUALIFIER EVENT:

A qualifier event will take place at The Links of Penn Hills (14049 NS-215 Shubenacadie, NS) on Monday, June 27, 2022, for players that are not exempt. Online registration for the qualifier will begin on June 1, 2022, at 9am. A maximum number of 128 entries will be accepted for this event. The registration fee is $50 (plus HST) paid at time of registration with credit card. It will be a split-tee draw in foursomes from 11:30am until 1:30pm. The starting hole and pairings will be randomly chosen. The rain date for this event will be Monday, July 11, 2022. A minimum of 65 players will qualify for the Men’s Amateur to be held at New Ashburn based on 18-hole scoring. Exact number to be determined prior to start of the event. In the event of a tie for the final spot, a sudden-death playoff will be played immediately for the final spot.

For those unable to compete in the qualifier Event, an exemption application can be submitted to the NSGA. An online application form will be created and accessible through the Competitions section of the NSGA website by April 15/22. This will not be treated as a first-come-first-served basis.  The online application form will ask for your detailed reason for not attending the qualifier event and your competitive playing resume. You will have until May 15, 2022, to submit your exemption application with an accompanying $50 non-refundable application fee. Each application will be reviewed by the NSGA’s Selection Committee with no more than 15 exemptions being awarded by May 31, 2022. Each recipient granted an exemption will be contacted by phone and/or email and their $50 application fee will be credited toward their tournament registration fee.
