109th Oregon Amateur Qualifier #1 – Banks, Ore

  1. Quail Valley Golf Club Scorecard – Please disregard all Local Rules, including those on the Quail Valley Scorecard.
  2. Teeing Ground – Play will be from the Blue tee markers.
  3. Obstructions – The following areas are defined as obstructions:
    1. Artificially surfaced roads and their extensions;
    2. Sprinkler heads and sprinkler control boxes;
    3. Manmade structures, outhouses, restrooms, dwellings and pump houses;
  4. Out of Bounds – Is defined by, white stakes and, perimeter fencing. Out of bounds can be located on holes 10 – 18.
  5. Dropping Zone  - Two dropping zones have been established for use in the following situations
    1.  Hole # 6 – If it is known or virtually certain that a ball is in the water hazard a player may Proceed under Rule 26; or as an additional option, drop a ball, under penalty of one stroke in the dropping zone designated by the two white markers on the front left tee box.  The dropping zone extends back rectangular two club lengths in depth.  The ball must be dropped (not teed).
    2. Hole #9 - If it is known or virtually certain that a ball is in the water hazard a player may Proceed under Rule 26; or as an additional option, drop a ball, under penalty of one stroke in the dropping zone located in front and right of the water hazard.
  6. Faded white lines:  Do not identify either out of bounds or ground under repair. An example is located on the left side of the hole #15.
  7. Stakes – When two stakes are located within two feet of each other the boundary or hazard line is deemed to extend to infinity in the direction of the stakes.
  8. Qualifying Positions & Play-off – You are playing for 27 spots into the Oregon Amateur. In the case of a tie for the last spot a hole-by-hole playoff will begin as soon as all scorecards have been signed, returned, and approved by The Committee. The Committee will decide the holes and their order for the playoff. Alternate Positions will be decided by order of finish from the play off of any last spots and by a scorecard playoff.
