Welcome to the 109th Oregon Amateur Championship Qualifying!

 

Enclosed you will find your pairing and starting time for the 18-hole competition on Tuesday, June 5th at Stone Creek GC.

 

There are 38 spots into the 109th Oregon Amateur Championship at the Oregon Golf Club.  In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot, a hole by hole playoff will commence immediately following the return and verification of all scores. Alternates will be decided by order of finish from the hole by hole playoff for any remaining spots and by a scorecard playoff.

Additional player information:

 

Practice Round: Players may call the pro shop, (503) 518-4653, to make arrangements to play the golf course prior to the qualifier. All Contestants are responsible for any greens fee for playing a practice round.

 

Practice Range:  The OGA will host warm up range balls for contestants. The range will be open one hour prior to the first starting time.

 

Automotive Transportation: Players must walk at all times during a stipulated round.  Contestants may use a caddie.

 

Dress Code: Proper attire must be worn at all times.  Proper attire does not include spandex body wear, cutoffs, running shorts, short-shorts, tank tops, tee shirts, or denim of any kind.  Neat and clean pants, slacks, cords, or appropriately hemmed, tailored shorts are acceptable, as are sweaters and golf shirts with a collar.  Shoes must be worn at all times.

 

Spikeless Shoes: It is a condition of this competition that metal or traditionally designed spikes are prohibited.  This includes alternative spikeless products, which are partially comprised of metal, when such metal comes in contact with the turf.  The penalty for breach of this condition is disqualification.

 

Golf Clubs: Optional condition as prescribed in Appendix I is in effect.

Performance in Local Qualifying: It is a condition of the qualifying stage that contestants in the men’s division return their 18 hole score within 12 strokes of the applicable USGA course rating.  Failure to return a score within this limit may result in the contestant being ineligible for play in future Men’s Amateur Championships.
