Competition Notes

Costello Bowl

• Entries close on 31 March 2022.
• Competition open to all players aged 55 and over who have played at least 3 Highwaymen rollups or inter-club matches in the last year.
• Entries welcome from all players irrespective of handicap but Playing Handicaps will be restricted to a maximum of 28 on the day of play.
• The format for all matches is knockout match play, off yellow tees.
• Full Playing Handicap difference applies eg Player 1 off 20 and player 2 off 25 - Player 2 gets 5 shots, one each at Stroke Index 1 thru 5.
• Matches all square after 18 holes should continue down the 10th and subsequent holes until there is a result. However, players should check with the Proshop that it is clear to do so. If it’s not possible to play extra holes, the winner of the match after 18 holes is the player who won the last hole that was won. If no holes were won, the players should draw lots.
• All matches should be played by the closing date for the round concerned.
• Entry fee is £5 and will be deducted from cards on publication of the draw.
• The Committee reserves the right to determine the outcome of unplayed matches and to amend these rules at any time.
