Thank you for your entry into the 13th Oregon Super Senior Championship, August 14th and 15th at Broken Top Club.  Attached you will find your starting time for Tuesday, August 14th.  We will repair by gross score for Wednesday’s final round. In order to obtain your final round pairing information please visit our website at www.oga.org or you may call 503-989-0069 Tuesday evening. Additionally, a text message will be sent with starting times. If you would like to receive a text message with your starting times, please log into your OGA Tournament profile and make sure that your cell phone information is updated.

 

 

Additional player information:

 

Practice Round: Players may call the pro shop (541) 383-8200 at any time prior to the championship to make practice round arrangements. Practice rounds will be available on a space available basis any time during the week prior and after 1pm on the weekends. Practice rounds are for contestants only and will not be extended to guests, caddies, or family members. Players must identify themselves as a contestant in the Super Senior Championship to receive their complimentary practice round.

 

Tees:  Please see attached yardage sheet.  Yardages are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.

Food Service: The OGA will host a buffet lunch for all contestants on Tuesday, during the first round of the championship. 

 

Golf Carts: Cart fees must be paid to the club at the time of rental.  As a reminder, please follow any cart path restrictions posted by Broken Top Club. There will only be two carts allowed per group, players may be asked to pair up.

 

Caddies: You may bring your own; Broken Top will not have caddies available.

 

Practice Range: Will be available approximately one hour before the first starting time each day. Range balls will be provided on the driving range.

Spikeless Shoes: It is a condition of this competition that metal or traditionally designed spikes are prohibited.  This includes alternative spikeless products, which are partially comprised of metal, when such metal comes in contact with the turf.  The penalty for breach of this condition is disqualification.

 

Dress Code: Proper attire must be worn at all times.  Proper attire does not include spandex body wear, cutoffs, running shorts, short-shorts, tank tops, tee shirts, or denim of any kind or color, or unkempt clothing of any kind.  Neat and clean pants, skirts, slacks, cords, or appropriately hemmed, tailored shorts no more than 6 inches above the knee (men’s shorts must have a minimum of three pockets) are acceptable, as are sweaters and sweatshirts, golf shirts (men’s must have collars) women’s golf shirts and golf blouses.  Shoes must be worn at all times.  Contestants not in compliance with the OGA Dress Code will be Disqualified from the championship and removed from the golf course. 

 

Golf Balls: Optional condition for “Conforming Golf Ball” are in effect as prescribed in Appendix I in the Rules of Golf.

 

Golf Clubs: Optional condition as prescribed in Appendix I is in effect.

 

OGA Pace of Play Guidelines: The OGA pace of play policy will be in effect during this championship.  Pace of play guidelines will also be available before each round at the starter’s tent.

Score Posting: will be done by the OGA for each round after the championship has been completed.  The OGA will post each player’s adjusted score to GHIN as a tournament score, for handicapping purposes. 

 

Format and Prizes:

36-hole stroke play competition. In the event of a tie for the overall Champions in either men’s or women’s division, the winner shall be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Merchandise certificates will be awarded to the top gross and net finishers in all flights.  The gross and net champion in each flight will receive awards from Jones Golf Co and trophy awards. A tie of two players for the gross or net champion in any flight will result in awards being split and distribution of awards will be decided by lot. However, in the event of a tie of more than three players the USGA recommended scorecard playoff will be used to determine who will receive the awards (Jones Golf Co. product and trophy award). Merchandise certificates will be awarded within ties.

Cancellations: It is extremely important that you contact the OGA office as soon as possible if you are forced to withdraw from the championship.  We expect all entrants to complete their rounds and fulfill their playing obligations.
