ELIGIBILITY
The Women’s Ryder Cup tournament that opens our season is open to all females who have enrolled and paid the annual registration fee to the Maine State Golf Association for 2018. To register, players must be active in GHIN at a Maine club.
FORMAT
Players form their own two-woman teams for the Ryder Cup event, which features three different formats. The first six holes are played as a scramble, the middle six are alternate shot with both players teeing off on each hole and then alternating in from the selected tee shot, and the final six are played as a better ball. As per MSGA Pace of Play Policy, the scorecard should indicate beginning, mid and ending times of a round.

Eligibility: MSGA Tuesday tournaments are open to all active female members of the MSGA. A member may bring a guest to a regular Tuesday tournament. A guest may only participate in one event per season.
Format: Regular Tuesday tournaments are 18-hole stroke play with full handicaps. Maximum handicap index allowed for competition is 36.4. The field is divided into equal flights for individual prize awards. Each player within a foursome should sign and attest the official scorecard at the end of the round. As per MSGA Pace of Play Policy, the scorecard should indicate beginning, mid and ending times of a round.
Registration: Weekly tournament fee is $26. Registration can be completed by mail or online. Players sign up individually and will be paired with other participants to make a threesome/foursome. Request for a playing partner can be made at the time of registration. Tee times are determined at random under the supervision of the tournament manager. Consideration is given to occasional special requests as well as commuting distance of players. Tee sheets are posted online approximately 12 days before the tournament. ELIGIBILITY
The Metropolitan Club Championship is open to all females who have enrolled and paid the annual registration fee to the Maine State Golf Association for 2018. To register, a player must be active in GHIN at a Maine club.
FORMAT
The Metropolitan is an 18-hole, best ball-of-four event. Each team member will play at 90% of her course handicap. Teams will play on either Monday or Tuesday. Individuals may also select to enter a skins competition for $5 in addition to the entry fee.
ENTRY INFORMATION:
Players form their own 4-person teams. To be eligible for the title of Metropolitan Club Team Champion, which goes to the team that records the lowest gross score over the two days of competition, all players on a team must belong to the same home club. Other than that, the Metropolitan is a one-day tournament, and a player may play on only one team. Please sign up for either Monday or Tuesday by noting your preferred day of play on your application but be aware that the fields for both days need to be equal, so preferred play dates are not guaranteed. We appreciate your flexibility, so please plan to make both days available
One player will file an entry application for her team. Players may apply for the championship either online at www.mesga.org or by paper application. Entries will not be taken over the phone.

Registration: Weekly tournament fee is $26. Registration can be completed by mail or online. Players sign up individually and will be paired with other participants to make a threesome/foursome. Request for a playing partner can be made at the time of registration. Tee times are determined at random under the supervision of the tournament manager. Consideration is given to occasional special requests as well as commuting distance of players. Tee sheets are posted online approximately 12 days before the tournament. Carts can be reserved at the time of registration but are paid for by the individual directly to the course on tournament day.
Prizes: Gross and net prizes are awarded in each flight. Number of places paid is determined by the size of the field. Winnings accumulate in your MSGA account.
