Boys Match Play Championship

The 2018 Boys Match Play Championship will be held September 28-30th at Swope Memorial Golf Course. This particular championship is by invitation only and the KCGA will send out invitations to prospective golfers end of August, early September.  Invitations to this event can be earned through participation in the Kansas City Junior Tour as well as exceptional play in state high school golf events and USGA Qualifiers. The entry fee is $80.

The tournament begins with a 9-hole qualifying round on that Friday, September 28th. The top 8 scores from Friday then make it to match play where the quarterfinals will begin Saturday morning. The semi-finals of match play will take place Saturday night and the final match will be held Sunday morning, September 30th.

Last year's Boys Match Play had a great championship match between Ryan Bender and Will Harding, with Bender ultimately claiming the 2017 Boys Match Play Champion 2 & 1. The KCGA hopes this year's Boys Match Play is just as exciting.
