North Atlanta Senior Men's Golf Assn
Latest News 12/14/25
Overview: Founded in 1982, we are a like-minded group of senior men's golfers (over 50) who organize events each month at various member clubs.
Affiliated Clubs: Atlanta National, Berkeley Hills, Big Canoe, Bridgemill, Brookfield, CC of Roswell, Iron Horse, Eagle Watch, Fairways of Canton, Indian Hills, Laurel Springs, Olde Atlanta, Polo, Rivermont, White Columns, Windermere, and Woodmont.
Events: NASMGA hosts one golf event per month at one of our affiliated clubs from March through October, and occasionally a Play Day at non-affiliated clubs. The typical event is an ABCD team format with live scoring and full Golf Genius support.
Matchplay: Each member club competes as a team. These club teams are organized randomly into three “pods” at the beginning of the season. Within each pod, there will be six rounds of home and away matches throughout the spring and summer. Eight top teams across the three pods then advance to the championship and consolation bracket matches in the fall to determine the overall standings. Overall, more than 1300 individual rounds are played during the season to crown a champion.
The 2026 event schedule is posted below. For most tournaments, formats will not be available until they are voted on at the March Board meeting. All Tournament Coordinators for the 2026 events will meet on February 9th, and any changes to our Tournament Policies and Procedures or the NASMGA standard Notice to Players will be published here after that meeting.
The pod draw for 2026 will be conducted tomorrow, December 15th. The pods will be published here as soon as they are established. Matchplay captains will also meet early in 2026, and the 2026 matchplay rules will be available soon after the meeting.
In case you missed the news, here are the playoff results. Olde Atlanta has won the overall championship, with Big Canoe finishing second. Brookfield defeated Windermere to settle the 3rd and 4th places, and Fairways of Canton split the 5th/6th place match with Laurel Springs. Thanks to all the captains for their hard work, and Jim McMenamin, our matchplay commissioner, who presided over another successful season.
