Welcome to the ClubLink Interclub Championship presented by PointsBet

The ClubLink Interclub Championship presented by PointsBet is ClubLink’s flagship competitive event and highlights the characteristics of ClubLink that set it apart from other private club memberships.

QUALIFICATION

Club qualifying rounds will use stableford points to determine participants. The Men’s Club Captain, a golf professional, and four male qualifiers comprise the male portion of the team. The Women’s Club Captain, and three female qualifiers comprise the female portion of the team. Great gifting and many other perks brought to the event by PointsBet Canada, TaylorMade, and adidas await those that played well enough to qualify.

SCORING AND REGIONAL GROUPINGS

In 2022, and even years moving forward, round results for men’s and women’s teams will be combined to populate the same leaderboard. Also, round results for all regions are combined onto the same leaderboard. The ClubLink-wide leaderboard determines the championship. There will also be ClubLink-wide separate men’s and women’s leaderboards for additional prizing.

The Club team divides into five pairs: two pairs of women and three pairs of men. The aggregate stableford total from all five Club pairs will determine their place on the leaderboard. Placement points are awarded to Clubs based on where they finish on the leaderboard. Placement points awarded in the regional rounds will carry over to the championship finals making this a season-long event!

This year there is an exciting addition of an alternate shot shootout held between the two championship finals. A man and a woman will be selected from each Club and will play for the chance to win additional placement points for their team.

This female/male combined format will run in even-numbered years. In odd-numbered years men’s and women’s interclub events will be scored on separate leaderboards only. In these years, the finals will travel to different regions on a TBD rotation, possibly involving the following locations:  Muskoka, Ottawa, Mont Tremblant, and the GTA.
