Form of Play:
 The championship will consist of 54 holes of stroke play. The field will be reduced to the low 40 (and ties) after 36 holes. In the event of a tie, play will continue with a hole-by-hole playoff until a winner is determined. 
 
Starting Times:  For the first two rounds all play will start off of hole #1 from 7:00 am to 2:10 pm. Round 3 will start at 7:30 am off of hole #1. Please make sure that you arrive to your starting tee at least ten minutes before your scheduled time. 

Practice Rounds: Players can make tee times directly with Belgrade Lakes. The cost is $30 with or without cart. Players are encouraged to bring a guest for the $30 cart fee as well. Players must call and identify themselves as a competitor in the Maine Amateur Championship to get this deal. Call the shop directly at (207) 495-4653. 
 
Withdrawals:  Please advise the MSGA office immediately at (207) 829-3549 if you are unable to compete. Failure to notify the MSGA of withdrawal may disqualify the player from future MSGA championships.  After office hours, players may call Randy Hodsdon at (207) 650-7026 or email at randy@mesga.org. 
 
Caddies / Carts:  Players are allowed to use caddies, push carts, and motorized carts in the championship. Please note that carts may be limited at the tournament site and will be limited to two carts per pairing. 
 
Competition Course:  The tournament will be played predominatnly from the BLACK tees. 

 

Food and Beverage: Belgrade Lakes will provide their normal food and beverage services for players and spectators and will accept cash and credit card.

 

Prizes: The winner will be awarded a crystal trophy and the title of Maine Amateur Champion. The top twenty finishers will earn prize money that will be added to their MSGA voucher account.
