At the Airport in Bangkok: Suvarnabhumi Airport

 

The Bangkok International Airport known as Suvarnabhumi (Su-warn-a-poom) is huge by any standards and very modern in design and technology. It has excellent English / Thai signage to guide travelers. Most of the Thai staff have some degree of English to assist you if necessary. To make this an easy transition from the plane to the coach, please follow these directions:

 

• Your golf bags will usually come out on the standard luggage carousel (if not, look in the OVERSIZED luggage area)
• Get your golf bag and luggage, clear customs
• On the immigration form, fill out “Sabai Lodge Resort, Pattaya” as your address
• You may want to exchange a small amount of your local currency into Thai Baht at one of the many exchange booths.
• STAY ON THE SAME LEVEL AS THE LEVEL YOU ARRIVE ON, DON’T GO UP OR DOWN THE ESCALATORS UNTIL YOU MEET YOUR TRANSFER CONNECTION.
• Go to Arrivals Gate No. 4 (Sign No. 4 on the wall) and stay there. Look for the Golf Savers guide with the “Social Golf Australia” sign who will be situated at Gate  4. Your transfer driver will be looking for you, so please stay in this area and they will find you if you don’t spot them.
• The driver will take you (and other SGA Pattaya Golf Week guests if applicable) to the car/bus and check you and your luggage onto the car/bus.

Remember – keep an eye out for the Thai Guide at Arrivals Gate 4 holding the Golf Savers Logo and “Social Golf Australia” sign.
