Match Play Championship
October 3-5th, 2022
The Championship Flight will be a Gross Event. If less than 8 players register for the Championship Division, then the low 8 handicap indexes will automatically be in the Championship Flight.
CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION (GROSS; approx. 5800 yards): Played from longer tees. Last years Champion will have the first seed. Maximum number of spots in each Championship flight is 8. The lowest 8 indexes will automatically be in the Championship Division if less than eight players register for this division. Any player regardless of index may sign up to play in the Championship flight.
STATE DIVISION (NET; approx. 5200 yards): Consist of players who wish to sign up for the shorter tees. State Division players will be flighted by handicap index and all flights will consist of a maximum of 8 players. The State Division will compete with handicap stroke differential, if more than 10 strokes difference in a match both players allotted handicap strokes will be reduced by 10% for a more competitive match.
CRIERS TOURNAMENT: All players that get eliminated from match play championship will be able to play in the Par 3 Criers Tournament on Wednesday during Final Matches. (Format subject to change)
Special Events: There will be an evening social on October 2nd prior to the first round and a evening pairings party on October 4th prior to the final round and Criers Tournament.
