Overview

The Gasparilla Invitational is an elite Mid-Amateur golf tournament hosted by historic Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club since 1955.  Invited participants are selected by the committee based on WAGR and recent USGA championship performances. 

 

Format

54 holes of stroke play.  After 36 holes, the field will be cut to low 60 scores and ties.

 

Open Qualifier

The Gasparilla invitational is one of the only highly ranked invitationals in the country that offers a qualifying event. In keeping with that tradition, our open qualifier will be held on Monday, February 20th. We anticipate accepting at least 5 players from the qualifier, in addition to those 5 spots the creation of our alternate list will come from the qualifier.   

 

Additional Details

• All players, new and returning, must complete the registration process
• All players must be at least 25 years of age
• All players are expected to ride in a golf cart
• Practice Rounds
  • Tuesday February 21st – 1pm Shotgun
  • Wednesday February 22nd – Tee times beginning at 8am
• Tournament Play
  • Round 1 – Thursday February 23rd -  8:00am & 1:30pm shotguns
  • Round 2 – Friday February 24th  -  8:00am & 1:30pm shotguns
