TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 12-13, 2022 

TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter. For a shotgun start, please be to your assigned cart 15 minutes before the starting time for announcements.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-75 N to exit 202 for M-33 toward Alger/Rose City. Turn left onto M-33 S/W Alger Rd. Continue onto Herner Rd. Turn left onto Alger Rd/School Rd. Turn left onto M-30 S. Turn right onto Sugar River Rd and the destination will be on the right.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (989) 426-4391. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur contestants.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

GAM DRESS CODE:  Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however, women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars.  Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted.  Players are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD: Complimentary lunch will be available for players only on both days.

CADDIES/CARTS:  Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in the players’ carts. Caddies are not allowed. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. HANDICAP PROCEDURE:  Handicap Indexes will be established at the close of entries. For Net Matches, players will receive 100% of their course handicap and play off the lower of the two handicaps.

PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only.  The driving range opens daily one hour before the first tee time.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions. Please be aware that all competitors are expected to play in the stroke-play round (if selected), the two guaranteed matches, and a final match should a golfer advance that far. Injury and personal emergency are the only justified reasons for withdrawal

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

September 12: AM. – 18 holes of stroke play, tee times off #1 (Championship Flight Qualifying Round Only)

MATCH PLAY – Flights and seeding are based on your stroke-play gross score.  The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as necessary for the match to be won. 

September 12: First-round matches in Net Flights begin off #1 starting at 10 a.m.

September 12: Following the completion of stroke-play qualifying, matches will be finalized for the Championship Flight and the additional Gross Flight.  

September 13 

AM - Semifinal Matches in all flights
