Starting Times - Play will begin with a shotgun start at 1100 AM.

 

Entry Fee

$270.00 per team – Includes carts and range balls.

 

Age Divisions

There will be two age divisions – Amateurs – 16-49, and Seniors 50 and over

 

Entries open Monday, September 19 at 9:00AM.  Entries close Monday, November 7 at 6:00 PM.  No e-mail entries accepted.  Refunds:  If a team withdraws by the closing date and time - refund is subject to a $25.00 admin fee.  If a team withdraws after that date and time, no refund will be given. 

 

Entry Limit

The first 48 teams.  If oversubscribed, teams with the lowest combined handicap indexes will have priority.

 

Eligibility

Amateur teams shall consist of two male amateur golfers each of whom must be at least 16 on or before November 7, 2022.  For the championship, the combined handicap indexes must not exceed 16.0 at the time of entry.  At least one partner must be a member of a MAGA member club or a member of their state golf association.  Partners do not have to be from the same club.

 

Format

One 18-hole round of Four-Ball Stroke Play. 

 

Rules of Golf, Close of Competition

Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R & A.   The competition is final when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee.

Awards, Play-offs

Low scoring teams shall receive merchandise certificates as determined by the MAGA Executive Committee. First place ties will be resolved by a hole-by-hole play-off immediately upon completion of play and certification of scores by the Committee.  Ties for other places will share equally the amounts designated for the number of tied places.   

 

Practice Round

Practice rounds are available on Sunday, November 13, after 11:00 AM.  Players may call to schedule a practice round on beginning Wednesday, November 9. Practice fee, including cart, is $75.

 

Food & Beverage

The clubhouse is closed on Mondays, but light fare and refreshments will be available at the snack bar adjacent to the 6th and 10th greens.
