ENTRY FEE: $5,000 per team; the entry fee includes two single room accommodations at The Inn at Sea Island Resort for 4 days and 3 nights (arrive March 9th and depart March 12th), greens fees, carts, and range fees for each round. The entry fee also includes Championship gifts, lunch for three days and the Player Welcome Reception with food and beverage.
HOST HOTEL
Accommodations at The Inn at Sea Island Resort for 4 days and 3 nights (arrive March 9th and depart March 12th) are included in the individual entry fee (two single rooms per team), and will be made for players once they register online and are confirmed into the field. Early arrival and late departure will be facilitated by Amanda Kolb (akolb@anerasports.com), please contact her for those requests. Players will be responsible for those extra night and any room charges.
*The Inn at Sea Island Resort has a limited number of rooms available (60), so when your entire team registers you will be notified if there is space at the Inn or if you will need to find lodging. Those guests lodging off-site will receive a refund on their entry fee.
ENTRY ELIGIBILITY, PROCEDURE & INFORMATION
Entries are open to male amateur golfers with one team member who has reached their 25th birthday on or before the first round of competition (March 10th) and one team member who has reached their 55th birthday on or before the first round of competition. All tournament applicants (both team members) must be a member of a TMGA Member Club or make an annual contribution ($100) to the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association. *Entries will be accepted in the order they are received at the discretion of the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Committee.
FORMAT & DIVISIONS
The Championship will be contested over 54 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play with two Divisions; Scratch and Handicap. The scratch division teams must have a combined handicap index at 8.0 and under. The handicap division will have a combined handicap index over 8.0. The Junior and Senior players will play from separate tees and yardages, and separate Champions will be recognized in both divisions.
ON-SITE CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION
All competitors must register with Trans-Mississippi Golf Association staff prior to the start of the Championship. Players that do not register may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION. Official tournament registration will be held at Sea Island Resort before the start of the first round or during scoring for the first round. Competitors who are unable to register on the date and time listed above must contact a TMGA staff member in advance of the Championship.
PLAYER RECEPTION
There will be a Welcome Reception (Guests Weclome) on Friday, March 10th in the Retreat Ballroom at 6:00 PM. The reception will include food and beverage, and is included in the entry fee.
STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS
Starting times and pairings for the first and second rounds will be made available no later than Friday, March 3rd at 5:00 PM. Copies will also be distributed at registration, in the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop. Final round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening preceding play at www.trans-miss.org, in the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Office and the Golf Shop. Final round starting times will be re-drawn based on total score following the second round of play.
PRACTICE FACILITIES
Practice Facilities will be available to all competitors for the duration of the Championship during tournament rounds.
CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION
The Trans-Mississippi Code of Conduct and Dress Code are in effect throughout the Championship. Violations will be dealt with based on the severity of the misconduct. All competitors should be familiar with all Trans-Mississippi Conditions of Competitions and Policies. PARTNER SUBSTITUTION
Partner substitutions for the Trans-Mississippi Junior-Senior Championship are permitted. Substitutions for teams will be permitted prior to the start of competition and individuals must meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association, as well as the specific tournament requirements (i.e., age, USGA Handicap Index, etc.). A player may not select a substitute partner from those players who are already in the Championship field. Players who are on the waitlist are eligible substitutions. WITHDRAWAL & NO SHOW POLICY
If you find you cannot compete in the Championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Trans-Mississippi staff Amanda Kolb at (469) 458-0806 or email at akolb@trans-miss.org. If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future Trans-Mississippi Championships. Any team withdrawing prior to Wednesday, February 15th at 5:00 PM Central will receive a full refund, less a $50.00 administrative fee. Any withdrawals after the Wednesday, February 15th deadline will not receive a refund unless a spot is filled by a team on the wait list in the same division.
