PRACTICE ROUNDS

Practice rounds are available July 23rd and 29th  on a space available basis. Each entrant is entitled to one practice round at a fee of $46.00. This fee includes a cart and practice balls. Your caddie is welcome, but will also be charged a $46.00 fee to play during the practice round. Please call 435-753-6050 to arrange for a practice round starting time.

 

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION (NEW) "One Seat Policy"

The player or the player's caddie may ride in a golf cart during a stipulated round, but both may not ride at the same time. Spectators are not allowed to ride in player’s carts. A cart fee of $15.00 will be charged to all players choosing to ride.

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES

In Sectional qualifying and in the Championship proper a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (eg. elevation changes, wind speed etc.) the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.

 

RANGE BALLS

Range balls will be available at no charge prior to the round starting at 9:00 AM on the day of the event. LGCC driving range is an "iron only" range.

 

FOOD SERVICE

Minimal food service is available after 9:00 AM. Full service will be available in the clubhouse after 11:00 AM. Payment accepted with cash or credit card.

 

RAIN DATE

If the round can’t be played or completed on Monday July 30th, play will resume on Tuesday July 31st at a time specified by the head golf professional.

 

CELLULAR PHONES

The use of cellular phones by players or caddies is prohibited.

 

DRESS CODE

Collared shirts (including mock neck) are required.  Players may wear golf shorts of the appropriate length.  No tank-tops, t-shirts, denim, levis, or sandal style golf shoes are allowed.  All other dress codes which have been dictated by the club must be adhered to.

 

CLUBS: GROOVES

In Local and Sectional qualifying and in the Championship proper, the player's clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010.

*PENALTY FOR CARRYING, BUT NOT MAKING STROKE WITH CLUB OR CLUBS IN BREACH OF CONDITION: Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round - four strokes. If a breach is discovered between the play of two holes, it is deemed to have been discovered during play of the next hole, and the penalty must be applied accordingly.

*Any club or clubs carried in breach of this condition must be declared out of play by the player to his marker or a fellow-competitor in stroke play immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. If the player fails to do so, he is disqualified.

PENALTY FOR MAKING STROKE WITH CLUB IN BREACH OF

CONDITION: Disqualification.

 

CADDIES 

Qualifying Rounds - A player may provide his own caddie. If he wishes to have the host club furnish a caddie, he should ask the Official in Charge because sufficient caddies may not be available at the host club.

Championship proper - A player may provide his own caddie. If he wishes to have a caddie provided to him by the host club, he must complete the information as outlined in the Memorandum to Players. A player is not required to employ a caddie for any stage of the Championship.

 

FOOTWEAR

It is a condition at all qualifying sites unless otherwise indicated by an asterisk on this entry application that shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round. Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION

 

TRANSPORTATION

The player or the player’s caddie may ride in a golf cart during a stipulated round, but both may not ride at the same time. Additionally, the USGA reserves the right to limit or suspend the use of golf carts due to inclement weather, unsafe use of the golf cart or circumstances where use of the golf cart would present a hazard to others, the course officials, the golf course or for other unforeseen circumstances. If the player’s caddie has a disability and the caddie would like to ride in a golf cart throughout the stipulated round in addition to the player, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a disabled caddie may be permitted to use of a golf cart as an accommodation to his or her disability. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To evaluate such requests, submission of the Golf Cart Request Form for the caddie is required (as well as additional important information for first time and subsequent requests for a golf cart). GOLF BALLS; DRIVER HEADS

Only brands of golf balls on the most current USGA List of Conforming Golf Balls and driver heads on the most current USGA List of Conforming Driver Heads may be used. Updated lists may be found on the USGA website at www.usga.org or by contacting the USGA Equipment Standards Department at (908) 234-2300.

The so-called "One-Ball Rule," the optional condition prescribed in Appendix I of The Rules of Golf, will be in effect.
