Memorandum to Contestants

Thank you for entering the WSGA Senior Amateur Championship. We welcome you as a contestant and trust your experience playing in an event conducted by the Wyoming State Golf Association will be enjoyable and one you will always remember.

 

The following information will help answer questions and explain many details before arriving in Cheyenne.  Please keep this memorandum for reference.

 

Notice of Withdrawal

If you must withdraw, notify the WSGA immediately.  Please call Dave Snyder at 307-250-3044.

Saturday, September 8	7:00am 8:00am – 9:40am 12:00pm – 2:00pm	Practice Areas Open Round 1 – Tee 1 & Tee 10 Round 1 – Tee 1 & Tee 10

Practice Rounds

If desired, those entered may contact the Cheyenne Country Club to arrange a practice round.  Practice rounds are complimentary for registered competitors only.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Format – 36 Hole Stroke Play

Players will be placed into flights based on the players Age.  Handicaps will be figured based of the September 1st revision.

 

Flight Breakdown

                                    Men 50-54                                                       Women 50-54

                                    Men 55-59                                                       Women 55-59

                                    Men 60-64                                                       Women 60-64

                                    Men 65-69                                                       Women 65-69

                                    Men 70+                                                          Women 70+

 

Men 50 – 69 will play the White Tees

Men 70 and over will play the Gold Tees

All Women’s flights will play the Red Tees                                                                         

 

 

The lowest gross score for 36 holes will be the Senior Amateur Champion (Men-White Tees & Women-Red Tees).

Any ties for first place in all flights will be played off, hole by hole until a winner is determined.  All playoffs will begin on the 1st Hole.

 

 

Personal Effects

Please take care of your valuables.  Neither the Cheyenne Country Club nor the WSGA can assume responsibility for articles lost or stolen.

 

Dress Code

All players must comply with the club dress code:  Collared shirt, blouse w/collar or sleeves, Bermuda length shorts.  NO Denim, T-Shirts, Cut-offs or Athletic Shorts.  Alternative Spikes are required.

 

Caddies and Carts

Carts must be purchased from the Cheyenne Country Club.

Players are responsible for their own caddies and complying with the Rules of Golf.

 

Starting Times

It is your responsibility to be at the starting tee early.  An official clock will be present on the first and tenth tees with unofficial clocks in the practice area.
