Scoring with the Golf Genius (GG) App
This year we are using the Golf Genius software system for the event scoring. There is an app that you need to download before the tournament. Please search for Golf Genius in the Apple App Store or Android equivalent. Prior to tee off each day, please enter into the App the Golf Genius ID (GGID) sent to you by SMS.
(Note: If you have downloaded Golf Genius in the past, please ensure you have the latest version. In some cases, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the app in order for it to work properly.)
Players will enter stroke scores into the App (and on a paper scorecard) after each hole. Golf Genius will then automatically calculate the individual and team Stableford scores.
After golf, compare your hard copy scorecard and the virtual scores on the App to ensure they match before finalising all the scores for the group via the App. It will make things very fast as well as supplying a live leaderboard (which is active up until the 14th hole) and make for faster results being processed onto GOLF Link.
If you see any highlighted yellow scores on your Golf Genius summary at the end of your round, it means you have a discrepancy between what you and your marker have for your score on that hole. Please consult with your marker and make sure that you both have the same scores before you can "Certify as Player" and also "Certify as Marker".
If you are having any trouble with this, come and see either Mick or Dean, as we cannot finalise the results and start the presentation until all scores are certified.
