2018 U.S. MID-AMATEUR QUALIFYING
THE FALLS GOLF COURSE, SUNDAY AUGUST 19, 2018
Congratulations on being selected to compete in the U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifier at The Falls GC at Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort.
SCHEDULE:The qualifier is scheduled for Sunday August 19th, 2018 at The Falls Golf Course, located at 1415 Grand Falls Blvd. Larchwood, IA 51241. The rain date is Monday August 20, 2018.
FIELD:A total of 30 players are entered. One (1) player will automatically advance to the National Championship September 22-27, 2018 in Charlotte, NC. 2 alternate spots will also be determined.
FORMAT:This qualifier is an 18-hole stroke-play competition. In the case of a tie for the qualifying spot, or any of the alternate places, the players involved shall immediately playoff hole-by-hole. If you are not present at the time of starting, you will receive the final alternate spot available. A playoff will begin on the hole designated by The Committee.
STARTING TIMES:Please note your starting time on the enclosed pairing sheet and schedule yourself to arrive at least an hour before your starting time to allow proper time to prepare for the event. Player information will be available on the 1st tee prior to your start time. Information is also available at www.sdga.orgunder “Championships”. For those with the USGA TM mobile app, the GGID for this event is “USMID2018”.
PRACTICE ROUNDS: Please call The Falls GC directly at (712) 777-7808 and identify yourself as a contestant when scheduling your practice round. The Falls GC will allow practice round times the week prior to the event, based on availability. The cost of the practice round will be based on the day/time Players must call ahead for practice round tee times.
CADDIES:Caddies are permitted. Players must walk at all times during the stipulated round. No motorized carts may be used at the qualifier or the Championship except those approved under the ADA guidelines, which may be found at www.usga.org/champs/ada
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES: Distance measuring devices are permitted.
SPIKE POLICY:The Falls Golf Course is a spikeless golf club.
EQUIPMENT:Please ensure your equipment conforms to the standards established by the United States Golf Association. The “One-Ball Rule” will be in effect, which means you must play the same brand and compression ball throughout your stipulated round. A list of golf balls and drivers that meet USGA standards can be found at www.usga.org

RANGE BALLS:The driving range will open at 7 a.m. on the day of competition. Range balls are complimentary.
