2023 TOURNAMENT CRITERIA


The Mickelson National Invitational is a 54-hole stroke play golf tournament for 90 male
professionals and amateurs. Invitees are selected based on how they finished on their
respective money lists and Orders of Merit from 2022 and World Amateur Ranking per
the below criteria.

 

The Invitational Committee reserves the right to select special invites and sponsors exemptions

in the respective divisions.
 
Should a player receive an invitation from the Tournament Committee in March 2023,

registration must be complete and received by April 30th, 2023.

 

Approvals will be sent by the Tournament Committee beginning on April 1, 2023.  

 

Entry fees will be processed after April 30th, 2023.  

 

The final field (except for Monday qualifiers) will be set by June 1, 2023.

 

Applicants
 
The field size will be limited to a target of 90 players. Applicants from the following
criteria listed below are given priority consideration:


 Top 10 Alberta professionals on the PGA of Alberta money list for 2022
 PGA of Canada 2022 National Champions
 Top 5 PGA of Canada professionals on order of merit as of Dec. 31, 2022
 Top 5 Albertans on the PGA Tour Canada 2022 order of merit
 Top 15 Canadians on the PGA Tour Canada 2022 order of merit
 Top 10 Alberta amateurs on WAGR as of Dec. 31, 2022
 Top 20 Canadian amateurs on WAGR as of Dec. 31, 2022
 Top 5 Alberta juniors on Junior Golf Scoreboard as of Dec. 31, 2022
 Mickelson National GC 2022 Men’s club champion
 Mickelson National GC 2022 Jr Men’s club champion
 Special invites/ committee selections
 5 spots from Qualifier – Tuesday June 27, 2023 at Mickelson National GC
 Minimum 5 spots from Qualifier – Monday July 3, 2023 at Heritage Pointe GC.

 

 

Entry Fee

 

  • Amateur entry fee - $350.00 + GST
  • Professional entry fee - $450.00 + GST
