Tuscaloosa, AL – After a wash out on day two, the final round of the AGA Women’s Amateur Championship was played without interruption in what turned out to be a perfect day for golf. The Championship division was tightly bunched at the beginning of the day, but two-time champion Laura Greenlief, of Ashburn, Virginia, separated herself from the field with a final round two-under-par 69 to clinch the victory by three shots over first round leader Kelli Pry, of Tampa, Florida. Megan Stassi, Krissy Carman, and Megan Buck finished three shots back of Pry in a tie for third. Stassi, the 2021 tournament champion tied Greenlief with the low round of the day at 69.

In the Senior division, Patty Ehrhart of Brimingham, Alabama followed her opening round one-under-par 70 with a two-over-par 73 to secure the win over a very strong and decorated senior field. NorthRiver Yacht Club member and AGA board member Susan West was tied with Tara Joy-Connelly (also an AGA board member) and Susan Ingram at plus three for the tournament. Ellen Port, Martha Leach and first round leader Kathy Glennon were another shot back tied for 5th place.

Northriver Yacht Club proved to a true test, challenging the best women amateur players in the country vying for the AGA Women’s crown.  In just four short years this Championship has drawn strong fields and will serve as one of the qualifying events for the 2024 Concession Cup.
